For over 15 years, we have been building—one project at a time—a reputation for thoughtful development. We take on a limited number of new projects, focusing our energy and enthusiasm primarily building franchised select-service and extended-stay hotels in Southern California.

Over the years, we have built trusted relationships with brokers, architects, engineers, contractors, lenders, and hotel management partners. Our expertise, however, extends beyond hospitality. We are actively expanding our portfolio to include new hotel projects and a variety of other commercial properties, working closely with brokers and industry experts to uncover new and promising ventures.

We work mainly in Southern California. We are fortunate enough to be in the position to give back to local communities through The Salvation Army and American Red Cross, our chosen charitable organizations.

We are privately held and based in the Los Angeles area.

Management

Vivian Chen

President

Vivian began her career in real estate in 2009. She has overseen and managed hotel development projects encompassing over 13 acres of land, 430,000 square feet of building area, and more than 700 hotel rooms.

Vivian established New Stone Development to identify new opportunities in hotels and other commercial properties, leveraging her experience to navigate the complexities of the industry. She excels in site selection and assembling teams to complete a project through every stage of development.

Vivian holds a master’s degree specializing in Business Law from USC Gould School of Law and an undergraduate business degree from California State University Long Beach. She also earned two Professional Development Program certificates (hotel real estate and hospitality marketing) from Cornell School of Hotel Administration. She is a member of American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) and International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
